Ingredients

Scale

Rolls & Meat

  • 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls (12-count)
  • ½ pound deli sliced smoked ham
  • ½ pound deli sliced smoked roasted turkey

Cheese

  • ½ pound Gruyère cheese (hand grated)

Sauce & Toppings

  • 1 stick salted butter (melted)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Raspberry preserves (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, making sure there’s enough overhang to create handles for easy lifting. Lightly coat the lined dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Assemble the Sliders: Keep the rolls connected and slice them horizontally as one unit without separating them. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Layer the smoked ham, roasted turkey, and grated Gruyère cheese evenly over the rolls.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise until smooth and well combined. Pour half of this sauce evenly over the layered cheese and meats in the baking dish.
  4. Bake the Sliders: Place the top half of the rolls over the assembled filling and press down lightly. Pour the remaining sauce over the tops and brush to distribute it evenly. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. If the tops brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil to prevent burning.
  5. Finish & Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Using the parchment paper handles, carefully lift the entire slab onto a cutting board. Cut into individual sliders with a sharp knife. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm alongside raspberry preserves for dipping.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, you can broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes after baking, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
  • If you prefer, substitute Dijon mustard with spicy mustard for an extra kick.
  • Gruyère can be replaced by Swiss cheese or mozzarella if needed, but Gruyère provides the best melt and flavor.
  • These sliders can be assembled a few hours ahead of time and stored covered in the fridge before baking.
  • Use fresh raspberry preserves or any berry jam of your choice to complement the savory flavors.
