Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls

Meats & Cheese

  • 1/2 pound sliced ham
  • 1/2 pound sliced salami
  • 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 1/2 cup banana pepper rings, drained
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Other

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Optional: lettuce and tomato slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly to prevent sticking and to aid crisping of the dough.
  2. Layer Base: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and evenly press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, making sure to seal the seams well so the base stays intact during baking.
  3. Add Fillings: Layer the sliced ham, salami, provolone cheese, pepperoni, banana pepper rings, and roasted red peppers over the dough in an even layer to ensure balanced flavor in every bite.
  4. Season & Top: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the layered fillings. Drizzle the olive oil on top to enhance flavor and help with browning.
  5. Top Crust: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the fillings. Seal the edges of the top and bottom dough layers together tightly to enclose all ingredients.
  6. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Slice into squares and optionally add fresh lettuce and tomato slices on top before serving to add crunch and freshness.
  8. Enjoy: Serve warm as a savory main dish perfect for family meals or gatherings.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute meats or cheese to your preference, such as using turkey or mozzarella.
  • For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or spicy Italian sausage.
  • Make sure the peppers are well-drained to avoid soggy dough.
  • You can prepare this dish a few hours ahead and refrigerate before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking directly from the fridge.
  • Serve with a side salad or marinara dipping sauce for a complete meal.
