Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds & nori strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken strips and toss well to coat. Allow the chicken to marinate for 10 minutes while preparing the sauce. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken strips and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth while stirring continuously. Add salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Let the mixture simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, usually 3-4 minutes. Drain the noodles thoroughly, then toss with 1 teaspoon sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside for assembly.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly into serving bowls. Spoon the creamy garlic sauce evenly over the noodles. Top with fiery chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish each bowl with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and strips of nori. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper and chili powder to control the dish’s spiciness to your preference.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Soft-boil the egg by cooking it for 6-7 minutes in boiling water, then cool immediately in ice water before peeling and halving.
  • For additional protein, consider adding tofu or mushrooms for a vegetarian option.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, but best enjoyed fresh.
