Pizza Crust
Alfredo Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Toppings
- 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Make the sauce: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the cream cheese and stir until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir in the parmesan cheese, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare pizza crust: Roll or stretch your pizza dough into a large circle. If using a thicker crust, pre-bake the dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet at 425°F (220°C) for 4-5 minutes to set the base. Skip this step if you prefer a thin crust pizza to avoid overcooking.
- Assemble the pizza: Spread the prepared Alfredo sauce evenly over the crust. Add a thin layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, then evenly distribute the chopped cooked chicken on top. Add another layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by a light sprinkle of extra parmesan cheese for added flavor.
- Bake the pizza: Place the assembled pizza in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) and bake for 8-12 minutes. Bake until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to turn golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the best flavor and melt quality.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more salt or pepper if desired.
- If you do not have homemade pizza dough, store-bought dough or pre-made crust can be used as substitutes.
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and reheated in an oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
