Sweet Potatoes
- 1 pound sweet potato, peeled and cut into ½ – 1” cubes (1 large or 2 small)
Seasoning & Oil
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon cumin (optional)
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400ºF for at least 3 minutes, or according to your manufacturer’s instructions to ensure optimal cooking temperature.
- Prepare Seasoning Mix: In a medium-sized bowl, add the avocado oil and then whisk in all the seasonings including salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin until well combined.
- Coat Sweet Potatoes: Add the cubed sweet potatoes to the bowl with the seasoning oil mixture and toss thoroughly to evenly coat all the pieces.
- Air Fry the Cubes: Transfer the seasoned sweet potato cubes into the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning.
- Serve: Once the sweet potatoes are tender and crispy on the outside, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or ketchup.
Notes
- Cut sweet potatoes evenly to ensure uniform cooking.
- Optional spices like chili powder and cumin add extra flavor but can be omitted for a milder taste.
- Shaking the air fryer basket halfway through cooking helps to crisp up the cubes on all sides.
- Serve hot for the best texture and flavor.
